Toolbox for parent outreach – an effective way of encouraging parents and students to take upper level math and science courses.

Parent outreach has been proven to be an effective way of increasing course-taking in upper level high school math and science courses, including calculus and physics. The definitive study was performed by the Wisconsin Study of Families and Work. Their report in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences gives their striking results.
