Seventy-six talented middle schoolers from three Florida cities were inducted on Friday into the Future Physicists of Florida during a ceremony on the FSU campus. FPF aims to encourage students to take the challenging high school courses necessary to prepare for college majors in engineering and the physical sciences.
The students inducted at the FSU ceremony came from Orlando Science Schools; Raa Middle School (Tallahassee); River City Science Academy (Jacksonville) and the School of Arts and Science (Tallahassee).
Another twelve students from these schools accompanied the new inductees to the ceremony and received 2nd year member certificates.
UWF will host its own FPF induction ceremony for another 35 students this coming Friday.
