California Board of Education to consider NGSS on July 10

From the California Science Teachers Association:  The California Board of Education will discuss the NGSS on July 10, but will probably not vote on that day.

The standards document under consideration by the state is a somewhat modified version of the NGSS.  The biggest change is that the middle school standards are assigned to particular grades – they are not in the NGSS.

California is one of the 26 “lead state partners” on the NGSS project.
