After the firestorm that followed Virginia’s adoption of race-based goals for passing rates on standardized math and science tests (and the state’s subsequent withdrawal of that strategy), you’d think that other states would think twice (or three times, or more) before going down the same path.
Enter the Florida Board of Education, which yesterday adopted a similar plan for race-based goals. The Orlando Sentinel story is here.
