Florida University Presidents lay out “road map” for system’s future; STEM emphasized

Gradebook has posted a presentation given by UNF President John Delaney at the Board of Governors meeting at FAU.  The group that composed the presentation includes FSU’s Eric Barron, UWF’s Judy Bense, FGCU’s Brad Bradshaw, and the Board’s Rick Yost.

Among the “Potential STEM Initiatives” listed in the presentation – “Differentiated/Market-based Tuition Strategies,” “STEM Scholarships,” and changes in Bright Futures.

Update (6:30 am Friday):  From the Orlando Sentinel, “Universities may lower tuition so more students will seek high-tech degrees”.
