That’s all well and good, but what is being done to help those recruited become teachers? I’m nearing the end of my college program (graduate next June, maybe even earlier), but struggling financially as I try to meet all the damn requirements I have to pay for. I have to pay hundreds of dollars for all the final exams. I have to pay $1,000 fee for my three month student teaching requirement. And during that student teaching I have to quit my job and thus have no income. And, of course, my student loans are stacking up.

I’ve been recruited. I’m almost there. But it’s draining my wallet to do it. Some help along the way would have been nice.
